  Comments: Patrice Ricord's father "carved sculptures in wood" and his mother was a teacher in the arts. And his grandfather worked with Renoir. An artistic family. At only 14, Patrice's caricatures of teachers impressed a magazine publisher, who encouraged Ricord to finish his studies and "then come back and see us." According to the Biographie, when Ricord did just that and got hired by the magazine, he created a series "whose graphic style was to revolutionise the art of Caricature."
